If you are starting a business that ships overseas, consider the following:
1. Check your goods — make sure the items are not restricted or prohibited in the destination country.
2. Pack your goods — arrange the items carefully in the box. For fragile items, add protective packaging such as bubble wrap or foam to prevent breakage and damage.
3. Check the price — the charge is based on the weighed weight of the goods including the box, compared with the box’s dimensional (volumetric) weight. Dimensional weight = width × length × height of the box ÷ 5,000. Whichever is greater is the weight used to calculate the price.
